My Story

Born and raised in Vietnam as the youngest of six, my mission has always been to expand my intellectual and cultural boundaries. I spent most of my time learning English from Disney Channel, accompanying my family in their business meetings, or envisioning what I wanted to do when I grow up.

At 11 years old, I left home to study abroad in America. My life changed. I worked to overcome my quiet nature and developed a deep interest in connecting with people from all walks of life as we share fascinating stories about our culture, language, and identityThis incredible journey has led me to realize my purpose: help people turn their weaknesses into their greatest strengths.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science as a Diversity Leadership Scholar at Babson College, the #1 school for entrepreneurship. Throughout school, I launched two startups and held internships and leadership roles across marketing, sales, business development, and product management. I worked as a product analyst and manager at Publicis Media, and am the co-founder of Gateway, an ed-tech company.

Why I’m Inspired

Thought Leaders

Without the people who I admire and trust, I would not be where I am today. I am constantly seeking answers and guidance from those who have done it and enhanced the world with their wisdom. This is why I love to read and listen to podcasts – currently reading The Snowball: Warren Buffett and the Business of Life by Alice Shroeder and listening to the Daily by the New York Times. Some of the thought leaders that I’m thankful for are Jim Kwik and Brené Brown.

Family

There is a reason why green is my favorite color (if you can’t already tell). To my family, the color green is “Mai Linh green”- our family business that my parents built from the ground up after the war. My mom teaches me how to be emotionally intelligent and my dad shows me how to reach for the stars. My siblings and I share the unbreakable bond of our unique upbringing and ambition to build our own legacies. My family shows me what limitless looks like!

International Food

Growing up in Vietnam, my fondest memory is stopping for the delicious, mouth-watering street food. I would count down to when school’s over to head across the street for my favorite bánh mì (Vietnamese sandwiches) stand. From traveling, I realized that food tells a story much larger than the dish itself. It embodies history, culture, and individuality. In combining my love for food, travel, and photography, my best friend and I created a an Instagram food blog to share fascinating gastronomical stories with other foodies.
